I Brandon Carroll met Julierme last November at a pastors meeting. A short time after he shared his testimony with me, and asked that we help train him in cross-cultural missions so he can effectively work in villages around San Juan de Huashilado where his missions organization has a base camp with a church planting focus. For the last 8 10 months we have been sowing into Julierme and he has become family to us as we labor together in the Peruvian Amazon.  Our desire is to see Julierme plant solid churches in the Amazon jungles and aiding him in that calling.

My name is Julierme Moreira. I am a Brazilian missionary living in Iquitos, Peru for a year and 7 months. Being here is the purpose for which I am willing to sow my entire life. One day I left my house with many questions in my mind but with the conviction in my heart that God was calling me to be used in the mission field. I quickly determined in my heart to submit to God’s will and obey His calling. Even though I did not fully understand missions, I was willing to be used by God’s hand. God’s absolute will blesses us very much and it is then that we learn to love obedience. It is then that we develop a passion for His presence, because it’s His presence that keeps me standing. But the permissible will of God can carry a lot of complications. That is when we get involved in personal conflicts – interpersonal, economical and spiritual. God’s perfect will is much better than his permissible will. There is a great desire in me to know who He is more and more every day and show others His character. I left my family, my city and my country to settle in the city of Iquitos, Peru, where I found many congregations but just one church in Christ. The brothers and sisters in Christ in the city of Iquitos are very hospitable, expressive and strengthen my heart to keep obeying God. I believe that the church of Iquitos is developing gifts and talents to be able to establish the kingdom of heaven here in this beautiful city. My vision is to see the church of Iquitos in a great revival in such a way that they can go through a social reform where we can see a society conforming to God’s heart. That it would be a city that honors the presence of our God, and that their laws would be based on a biblical worldview. This is the purpose for which I would be willing to give up my life. It has given meaning to my days. This is the importance of having a purpose and that’s why I want to encourage you to find a purpose in life so that your days will be full of so much joy. I encourage you that together we can tell others about the character of Christ so that the nations will praise Him and can have the blessings that He desires to give us.
