We believe that God has given the Great Commission to the local church. For that reason we want to partner with local churches in the U.S. and local churches from Iquitos to make disciples of all Amazonian tribes. If your local church would like partner with IAM to make disciples in the city of Iquitos or amongst the rural tribes of the Amazon we believe you can exercise your gifts with us here in Peru. We would love to see you be involved in what God is doing in the Peruvian Amazon. Below are just a couple of ways your church can plug in. We always recommend that before committing to ministering here, that your leadership take a vision trip with us so that the Holy Spirit may confirm that this is the right place for you to partner. If you are interested we invite you to read the information below and pray about how God may use your and your congregation in Peru.
ESL in public schools:
English is now required by the Peruvian Government to graduate High School. We see this a great opportunity to help local churches evangelize and disciple youth in the public school system.
Our goal is to have at least one team a month teach for 5 days during the day in one public school that we will work with over a 4 year period building relationships with youth, using Bible Stories as the method for doing ESL classes.
This will also include classes for parents in the afternoon hours.
You will work alongside Generation with a Purpose staff and the partnering local church.
If you have a teaching degree and would like to serve in Iquitos as an ESL teacher in a public school the government of Peru will give you a visa and a salary to do so. This is a great need and an open door to build relationships and share the gospel with students and parents. If you know someone who is interested please contact me by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Conferences and Church training:
We would like to provide training for by-vocational pastors, deacons, elders, as well as marriage, and youth conferences throughout the year. If you or your church is interested in the following please click on the link for more information on dates, topics, and needs pertaining to these events.
If you are a pastor or lay leader in your church and would love to come teach pastors in Iquitos we would love to have you. Please contact Brandon Carroll by email at: email@example.com.
Indigenous Pastoral Training:
Using our Chronological stories your church or small group can come and train pastors serving in indigenous communities. Anyone who has led a Bible study or small group can use their gifts of teaching in this capacity along the Amazon river. Training Indigenous Pastors requires no biblical degree. If you or your church is interested in serving with us teaching these faithful men you can contact me by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
